Introduction To CPA Marketing

“Cost Per Action” marketing is two of the simplest methods for beginner Internet marketers to begin making money online. For years, this type of affiliate marketing has an industry secret of the insider “big players.” It was never really a “secret,” but while most people in Internet marketing had their hands busy promoting Clickbank products, the big kahunas were playing on a whole different level.

Cost Per Action, sometimes referred to as “CPA,” is a type of Internet marketing that requires consumers to complete specific actions – this usually entails filling out a form and requesting a free product sample, signing up for a free trial. In some cases, it involves asking the consumer to try a new product or service by making a small purchase.

What it means is that you, as offer promoter, get paid for the “actions” taken by the traffic you steer to advertisers. As a basic example, let’s say a company wants to test the consumer feedback on a new product line that they are introducing. They create an offer where they agree to pay $1.50 for each person who submits their e-mail address and zip code – your job is simply to direct traffic to that site and then collect $1.50 for each person who opts in.

This is a fairly standard promotion type. Others might pay as much as $37 for an optin (though if the payout is higher, the offer might require much more information from the customer or ask for a small upfront payment.

In essence you, as a CPA marketer, are really a traffic broker: You buy traffic on one end, send it to an offer page and get paid based on how well it converts. Sounds so simple, doesn’t it? It can be easy, but it generally isn’t.

Because it is so profitable, CPA marketing is extremely competitive, and for a beginner, it can be intimidating to start trying to compete with super-affiliates making $100k a day and even more, or even with the more common affiliates who are making $500 to $1,000 a day running CPA campaigns. When you try to get started, you’re going to be up against all of that competition, and it can be very challenging. The truth is, a lot of beginners simply get frustrated and give up when they figure out that CPA marketing can be difficult and expensive.

CPA marketing can be all that the sales letters say it can be – you really can make $100k a day if you know what you’re doing – but it can also be frustrating if you jump in without the right information. The http://richpig.info course can get you off on the right footing so that you can start making money almost right away without the stress of worrying you’ll lose your shirt.

Today the fast Internet download times make it easier than ever for Internet marketers to use video presentations to promote their websites. All you need is a talking head, a camera, some video editing software and access to the Internet.

You can make a short video with a digital video camera, or a simple web cam, or even on your cell phone. Next you can edit it on your computer and upload it to the Internet. Video sharing websites such as YouTube.com. have made the process of uploading and sharing video clips something that is easy for anybody to do.

The beauty of all this is that once you have invested in the equipment (camera, computer, editing software, Internet connection) there is virtually no other expense. YouTube, for example, is free to join and lets its members upload their video clips free of charge.

At its most basic, all you have to do is point your camera at your face, switch on the camera and start talking! This approach to marketing is both cheap and effective. The simple, informal “talking head” type of presentation is exactly the style that some of the top Internet marketers use to promote their businesses on video. If you are not sure what you should do or say, all you need to do is to head over to YouTube.com and start viewing Internet marketing videos to get some good ideas for your own presentation.

But before you zoom off to YouTube, here are a few tips to get you started on your viral video marketing career…

1. Keep your video clip SHORT and Dynamic!

You can say in just three or four minutes what it would take several hundred words to explain. However, you must stay very focused if you are to keep your audience’s attention. Keep them entertained by all means, give them some useful information and above all make it dynamic.

2. Don’t Beat About The Bush: Use Repetition To Good Effect.

Do not beat about the bush or go round in circles or keep repeating what you have just said ad infinitum.

Stay in control of your information. Let people know that you will tell them something important later on to keep them watching, by all means, but do not string out or pad out your presentation just to keep them dangling. People do not dangle on the Internet – unless you hook them in fast, they disappear!

So, save the repetitions for your summing up in the last 30-60 seconds of the video. Use the summing up section to repeat the important points clearly and concisely. By all means repeat website and email addresses clearly at the end of your presentation.

3. Take advantage of the viral potential of video sharing.

The beauty of using videos to promote your business on the Internet is their viral marketing potential. Videos can be easily embedded into blogs, websites, and social networking sites. Links to videos can also be sent by e-mail or posted as syndicated web content on RSS feeds. If your video clip packs a punch you may well find it spreading your message across the Internet like a virtual virus.

4. SEO Your Video!

Make sure you optimize your video clip for the search engines. When you upload a video to video sharing sites like YouTube.com you can add some text information such as the title of your video, a brief description of the video content, and some meta tags. Be sure to include some keywords in those fields so as to get your video registered on text-based search engines.

You can include keywords in the URL for the video to help the video search engines locate it.

Much more could be said on the subject, but if you follow these four simple steps you will be well on your way to becoming an expert “talking head” and viral video marketer.

Article marketing is without a doubt the most effective traffic generation strategy that ordinary people can use to promote their websites and make money. By ‘ordinary people’ I am referring to those for whom internet marketing is more than a just hobby, but who could not go so far as to refer to themselves as being ‘internet gurus’.

The ‘gurus’ frequently need do little more to make money than to promote each other’s products, since they have already done the hard work of building massive email lists, and optimized these to contain very reliable prospects that are more likely than not going to make a purchase – not every time, but occasionally as products that interest them are promoted.

For others, email lists consist primarily of interested people, but people that are not particularly interested in buying, but that might be persuaded to do so if you can get a good product in front of their eyes before the gurus do. Who would you rather buy from: some unknown peddling a product online, or a well known and highly respected internet marketer such as Joe Vitale or Brad Callen? No contest!

However, by writing articles on your niche, you can use article marketing to promote, not only your website and ultimately your products, but also yourself. If you know how to use article marketing to promote yourself, then you have a massive tool at your disposal that will do you more good online than any amount of promotion of your products could do.

Once your name starts to get known online in your niche, people will begin to respect you as someone that knows the business and the niche, and they will then be more liable to purchase from you. The way that you should go about this is remarkably easy.

Basically you write articles. However, make sure that your articles are written well, and if you are unable to achieve that then employ an article ghost writer to do it for you. Alternatively, and much more profitably, learn how to do it yourself. It is not difficult to learn how to write articles if you have a basic command of English. If English is not your first language then you might have a problem, although that too can be overcome with practice.

A good article consists of several sections, each one of which should be looked upon as a separate entity, and each optimized to the best of your ability, both with respect to search engine optimization and ’stickiness’ on behalf of the reader. What that means is that you want the reader to stay with it, and continue to read from one section to the next.

Although no section of an article can be regarded as more important than any other, there is the argument that each is more important than the next, because people will not read further once their attention or interest has been lost. Writing articles is an art, even without the content, vocabulary and grammar being considered. The structure of an article is a skill in itself, and if you can master the structural aspect of article writing, then the rest is so much easier.

If you are to use article marketing to promote yourself, it should be as both an author and somebody that projects themself as being an expert in his or her field or niche. To achieve that form of respect, you must consider each of the following aspects of your article writing:

The Title – The title should make the subject clear, and should also contain the primary keyword at the beginning. A keyword can be one word or a phrase, although it is best to be restricted to a maximum of three words. Hence, ‘article marketing tips’ is a good keyword, but ‘how to use article marketing tips’ is not. You can use the second example, but restrict the optimization to ‘article marketing tips’.

Also try to include a secondary keyword in the title, such as “Article Writing Tips: How to Profit from Article Marketing”. That is good, but you must also catch the readers eye, by offering them a benefit from reading your article, so a better title would be: Article Writing Tips: How to Make Money Writing Articles”.

See the difference? I am not suggesting these are brilliant examples, but the second title is better than the first, because it stresses the benefit of writing articles better than the first example.

The Opening Paragraph – If the reader is attracted by the title, you have to keep them reading by means of the opening paragraph. This should expand on the title, and offer them more benefits of writing articles, and perhaps explain how easy it is to make money or promote their website or products through article marketing. By reading on they will learn some secrets that will enable them to write articles that will make them money.

In doing this you are also promoting yourself, because you are demonstrating yourself as being an expert in your niche of article marketing. Incidentally, article writing and article marketing are different skills: many people can write articles, but don’t have a clue how to use them in internet marketing.

The other sections of your article include the article body, the concluding paragraph that should lead into the resource, and the resource itself, which is where you advertise yourself or your website and provide a link to it. Also important is the summary, which should persuade people to read the article itself.

It is important to understand how to use article marketing correctly, so that you promote yourself, not only your website or product, and take a step towards becoming well known sufficiently for others to seek you out and trust your products. One final tip: Use your name and product in your keyword list.

Article marketing is an awesome way to provide content for sales letters, squeeze pages and blogs. To have enough content to get regular traffic you should spend time every month writing new articles. Eventually, you should have your articles scattered across the web, giving you hundreds of chances to get traffic to your site.

Article marketing is one of the greatest ways to get traffic on the internet and it is one of the few ways to get free traffic. Another reason you should be using article marketing strategies to market your website is that it will provide lasting traffic for a long time to come.

Article marketing and writing articles is also a great way for you to establish yourself as an expert or an authority in your field or niche.

There are a few things to consider when writing your articles.

Article Marketing Strategy Guidelines:

1. An article should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 to 800 words long.

2. Each article should be written or focused around one specific keyword phrase.

3. The keyword phrase should be used in the headline, the first and last paragraph and then just normally throughout the article as it makes sense.

4. Keyword density should be around 2% of your total words used in your article.

There are plenty of free tools available online that will tell you your keyword density within your article. If you find your density is too low, add keywords where you can without making the article sound weird. You can also edit out some of the text which will raise the keyword density.

If your articles keyword density is too high, then you will need to remove some of your keywords, write more text, or find different ways to say the same thing such as using the keyword “internet marketing” instead of “affiliate marketing”.

5. Submit your articles to the most popular article marketing directories.

6. Post your articles on your blog or site.

7. You should always include a link back to your site or product within the signature or resource box at article marketing directories.

Getting Ideas For Articles:

1. One of the first things I suggest you do is to use a keyword research tool such as the Google AdWords keyword tool, Wordtracker or SEObook and type in one of your niche keyword phrases.

This let’s you see what people are actually typing in and searching for on a regular basis. The reason for this is because you don’t want to be wasting your time writing an article about something that no one is interested in.

You can then write articles about any or all of those keyword phrases.

2. Check out discussion forums. What are people talking about?

3. Look at http://Amazon.com for popular books/sellers.

4. Watch the news and read the newspaper. What is happening in the world that gets brought up over and over?

5. Go to article marketing directories such as http://ezinearticles.com, http://isnare.com, http://goarticles.com and others to see what other people in your niche are writing about.

6. Perform a search at Google for some of your niche related keywords and see what results come up and to see what others are writing about.

Writing Your Articles:

Whether the article marketing guidelines above make sense or not, the biggest thing you need to focus on is moving forward.

The way to do that is to choose a specific keyword phrase to write your article about.

Make the article at somewhere between 400-700 words.

Use the main keyword phrase:

- In your title
- Your first paragraph
- Your last paragraph
- Where ever else you can for it to sound natural.

How Many Articles Should I Write?

The thing with articles are, with effective article marketing you need to continue to write articles on a regular basis. So what I’m saying here is not to write an article, post it, and then wait a month to write another article. Try writing 1 article per day, or at least a couple or so per week and post them as mentioned above.

The more articles you distribute, the more chances for people to find your articles and be directed to your site. Article marketing is an effective way to drive traffic to your web page. Remember, the greater the number of people seeing your site, the greater chance you have of selling your product or service.
